Romeo and Juliet

June 2023, Kalamata

This is the most famous love story, involving two young people, and it has been interpreted by many directors and groups worldwide in numerous and diverse ways.

Nineteen teenagers, balancing between simple actions and symbols, become modern-day Romeos, Juliets, Capulets, Montagues, and nurses. On stage, they are swept away by love, by the pathologies caused by hatred and unfounded long-standing feuds, and they speak about the power of love and the value of freedom, touching the audience with their simplicity.
